What is PRP under eyes?
PRP under eyes — also written under-eye PRP, and sometimes called PRP eye treatment — uses platelet-rich plasma prepared from your own blood, applied carefully to the delicate area beneath the eyes. PRP for dark circles is sometimes considered where the cause is suitable for treatment, and the whole process happens in one appointment at Birches Head Pharmacy in Stoke-on-Trent.
Can PRP under eyes go wrong?
The area under the eye is delicate, which is exactly why it is assessed in person first and treated carefully. As with any injectable procedure there can be temporary redness, tenderness, bruising or swelling, usually settling within a few days. What causes dark circles?
Dark circles have several possible causes: inherited pigmentation, thinning skin with age, hollowing under the eye, and lifestyle factors such as sleep. Not all of these respond to PRP — which is why your consultation starts with an honest look at what is driving yours.
Is PRP under eyes right for me?
That depends on the cause of your dark circles and your skin.
